It all started in February 2020 when, “I PASSED OUT WHILE DRIVING”. I spent 5 days in the hospital with no reason of why I passed out.
After being released from the hospital, I went to my primary care and she sent me to get an Allergy test. The test came back that I was allergic to shell fish. Very weird since I’ve always eaten it.
Six months later I had to take another visit back to my primary care because I wasn’t feeling well at all. I was diagnosed with pneumonia.
I also informed her that I could not lay on my left side due to extreme pain. She said, “Well it doesn’t feel like cancer and cancer had no pain”.
She sent me for further test. After all the test and biopsy came back, I was notified of the DREADED news, July 28th, 2022 that knocked me on my butt. “Linda, you have stage 2 Breast Cancer in you left breast”.
I felt like I had been hit with a ton of bricks. I didn’t cry, I didn’t pray and most definitely, I didn’t ask WHY ME.
I sat there and thought about my mom who was also diagnosed with breast cancer in her left breast. And, as a young adult what I remembered about her experience.
I then begin to say to self, “things have changed a lot since then. Technology and the cure is totally different now”. However, I knew deep down inside, I would still need to continue to fight for my life.
I then begin to pray, and after several hours of receiving my diagnoses, I was ready to informed my siblings. This is when I dropped my first tears. They were already dealing with my accident and my pneumonia.
I then begin to praise GOD for choosing me to be one of his PINK SISTAs.
January 29th, 2021, I finished my LAST CHEMO TREATMENTS. AND I RANG THE BELL. WHAT A MILESTONE FOR THIS DISEASE.
I began to think I am well on my way to becoming cancer free.
April 23, 2021, I finished my radiation.
TODAY I FEEL EXCEPTIONALLY WELL with this illness I was chosen from GOD. And, I’m feeling BLESSED BEYOND MEASURES. I HAD A FEW SCARES ALONG THE JOURNEY, BUT OUR GOD IS DEFINITELY IN CONTROL. All second opinions came back with excellent news.
I am now EXTREMELY EXCITED AND READY TO EMBRACE A NEW CHALLENGE TO HELP OTHERS WITH THIS DISEASE. AS WELL AS, OTHERS THAT ARE ILL AND NEED HELP.
I am very proud to join the world of my PINK SISTAs and brothers. Yes men are also diagnosed with breast cancer.
One of my biggest observation was there were many patients there without love ones. Yes the GLOBAL PANDEMIC was in affect, and no one could go into treatment with us, but the patients were in the lobby all along.
This broke my heart.
So I asked GOD, “How can I help” and he put on my heart to open a Home Healthcare business to help the ill patients and ensure no one has to go to a doctors appointment along, has to be home alone etc.
So, here I am today, with, HEART OF EXCELLENCE CDS and In-Homecare. WE PROVIDE EXCELLENCE IN HOMECARE FROM OUR HEART TO YOURS.
